Processing

Our processing facility allows for quick, efficient, and sanitary processing of locally grown Alberta produce. Contact us today for a full list of processed produce and prices.

Carrots

An automatic peeler removes the outside layer, ends are trimmed, and each carrot is inspected for quality and sizing before sanitization and packaging.

Lettuce

Stainless-steel machines cut, wash, and cool the lettuce, then high-power driers spin it until it’s ready to be packed and vacuum sealed.

Onions

The top and tail are cut, razors slit the peel, and a high-velocity blower reveals a perfectly whole peeled onion — then on to dicing and slicing if needed.

Broccoli & Cauliflower

Semi-automatic equipment removes the florets from the stalk with minimal labour and waste, then sizes, sanitizes, and inspects them.

Peeled Potato

Abrasive rollers remove most of the skin, then hundreds of stainless-steel blades give that homemade, hand-cut look before washing and packaging.

Cabbage

A new line chops and dices cabbage with minimal labour — popular for dumplings and coleslaw — and handles green onions and chives too.

Repackaging

Our repack department takes large cases of locally grown produce and repackages them into a variety of sizes. We tray mini cucumbers in packs of 6, 8, 10, or 12, bag them into 1 and 2 lb bags, or supply bulk 20 and 40 lb boxes.

Two modern pepper wrapping machines create zip-lock or BOPP-film rainbow packs in the colours you choose, and we shrink-wrap long English cucumbers, eggplant, and broccoli for shelf longevity. Need a smaller pack of bananas, apples, or oranges? Just let us know.

Logistics

We handle regular and cold freight deliveries in Edmonton and surrounding areas, and move freight between Calgary and Edmonton. At our warehouse we also offer cross-docking of fresh fruit and vegetables for customers with limited warehouse space or who need an overnight holding spot.
